G.V. Prakash has sung a song for uncle A.R. Rahman.

After a gap of 11 years, G.V.Prakash, Kollywood's happening music composer and nephew of A.R. Rahman, has sung a song for his uncle recently. This one is not for a film. Rahman is scoring the theme song for the World Classic Tamil Conference 2010, to be held in June at Coimbatore with Chief Minister Kalaignar himself writing a song. Ace lyricist Vairamutthu is also a part of this prestigious project.
One hears that three generations of Tamil singers from all over the world, proficient in different styles, will be crooning for the anthem. It was learnt that G.V. was invited by Rahman to sing one of the songs in the album.
G.V. Prakash confirmed that he had indeed sung the number, which was recorded at A.R. Rahman's K.M. Studio in Chennai recently. The young composer had not sung for any other music director after he became independent.

The last time he sang for A.R.Rahman was for the film Mudhalvan in 1999. The song was Azhagaana Raatchshiye.
